18, 40, 60: every birthday has its music

A birthday is not hosted the same way depending on who is blowing out the candles. Here is how I adapt the evening.

To help you choose your tracks, I have written a complete guide: planning the playlist for your party.

18th birthdaysClub atmosphere from the start, big sound, bold lighting. I also set the framework with the parents beforehand: timings, volume, end of the night. The young ones have fun, the parents sleep soundly.
30th and 40th birthdaysThe most requested format. We mix the hits of the guests’ teenage years with current sounds. It is the age at which the dance floor holds until the end if the DJ reads the room well.
50th and 60th birthdaysFrench pop, disco, 80s, rock. A reasonable volume during the meal so conversations can flow, then we build gradually. The music quiz works very well at these parties.
Children’s birthdaysShort format, 2 to 3 hours, musical games, musical chairs, the chicken dance with pride. Volume adapted to little ears and a microphone for hosting.
Surprise partiesTiming is everything. I coordinate with the organiser by phone: where I set up, when I arrive, which track launches the surprise. Total discretion until the big moment.
Retirement partiesAn often emotional moment. Slideshow on the projector, speeches on the mic, a playlist that retraces a career — then we get the colleagues dancing.

How much does a DJ cost for a birthday in Bordeaux?
It depends on the duration, venue and number of guests. The Essential Birthday & Private Party Package includes sound, dance-floor lighting, a personalised playlist and entertainment until 1 a.m., for 30 to 60 guests. The Premium Birthday & Private Party Package adds enhanced sound for larger venues or outdoor spaces, decorative lighting, cold spark effects and entertainment until 4 a.m. Tell me your date and venue for a free quote within 24 hours.
Do you DJ birthdays for all ages?
Yes: 18th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th birthdays, children’s birthdays, surprise parties and retirement parties. The repertoire, the volume and the duration are adapted to each audience. For 18th birthdays, I always set the framework with the parents beforehand.
How far in advance should we book?
For a Saturday in spring or summer, several months’ notice is recommended. Check your date directly on the availability page.
Can we choose the music?
Yes. Together we prepare the must-plays, the banned songs, the tracks full of memories and your loved ones’ requests.
Can you provide sound for an outdoor party?
Yes, depending on the venue conditions, the permitted hours and a sheltered space for the equipment. These points are confirmed before the quote.
Do you offer entertainment and games?
Music quiz (blind test), quizzes, surprises on the mic or the cake entrance can be included, with a level of entertainment suited to your guests.
Is lighting equipment included?
Dance-floor lighting is included in the packages. LED pars and additional effects can complete the set-up.
